How do I insert my NavBar created in Menu Maker or Webstyle into Notepad?
When you select to create a NavBar, you select from a range of available styles. Next you edit and configure the style as required setting its color and text attributes as well as the button text, URLs, target frame etc.
When selecting to save the NavBar, the original style selected along with the edits you have made are stored in a projects folder. This allows the NavBar style to be re-used and re-edited at a later stage.
Additionally the files required to display the NavBar and provide its functionality are exported to your selected location.
The code used to retrieve and display the NavBar can be found by going to the folder where the files were exported to. You will find an HTML page bearing the same name as the set of graphics which you exported.
Double click the page to open it in your web browser. Next select to view the source of the web page by selecting view followed by source from your browser tool bar.
The source code will be displayed within a Notepad window and look similar to below.
.<script src="xaramenu.js"></script><script src="NameOfGraphic.js"></script>
Insert the script elements into your Notepad page editor. save your Notepad file as a web page and select to view the page within a browser.
A xaramenu.js file is only exported in the event of your NavBar containing sub menus.
