I'm getting error "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress" when trying to install or update Xara


This error is caused by a microsoft update which is preventing the installation and updating of Xara products for certain users. It needs to be uninstalled before Xara can be updated or installed.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed Updates

Select update #KB2918614 from the list, then click uninstall. Once uninstalled, try re-installing or updating Xara.

To re-install the update, go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Update.
