How do I make my Webstyle or Menu Maker NavBar conform to the W3C recommendations?

Webstyle and Menu Maker export the NavBar script in two variations:

1. NavBar created directly from Webstyle or Menu Maker:

<script  src="xaramenu.js"></script><script src="arrow2.js"></script>

2. NavBar created via the Xara Dreamweaver Extension/ FrontPage add-in:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="xaramenu.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');document.write('<scr'+'ipt src="test.js">'+'</scr'+'ipt>');/*img src="test.gif" moduleid="ds (Project)\test_off.xws"*/</script>

The alterations required to a script element to make it conform depend on the document type definition applied to your web page. A recommended list of DTDs can be viewed at

XHTML 1.0 Strict / Transitional and HTML 4.01 Strict / Transitional

<script type="text/javascript" src="xaramenu.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="arrow2.js"></script>

If you wish to make your NavBar script element conform with w3c then we recommend you access Webstyle/ Menu Maker directly as the script element is easier to alter.

Altering the script element inserted via the FrontPage add-in/ Dreamweaver Extension will prevent the NavBar from being edited directly from within FrontPage/ Dreamweaver.
