What type of HTML is exported by Xara Web Designer?
Solution

Xara Web Designer exports documents as XHTML and uses a transitional DOCTYPE allowing for W3C valid XHTML files to be exported.  The positioning of objects within the exported page is managed using absolute positioned divs. The code uses a combination of inline styles and an external style sheet to define the style of various HTML elements.  The program exports fixed width and fixed positioned pages.  This means that a page will display the same size at any resolution and will not stretch when dynamic content is inserted.

Each of the templates provided in the program are verified as XHTML 1.0 Transitional via http://validator.w3.org.

Note:  We cannot guarantee the validation of an exported web page when external objects are embedded within a page.
