This setting allows the use of Justification of menu items so to align them differently to the default.

This setting is only used with vertical menu's and is disabled when editting a horizontal menu.

To activate this feature you must ensure that the width control in the Size editor is set to "Each buttons text controls its width". The Justification feature will then be available for you to use.
