It is currently not possible to scan an image directly into Xara Xtreme.

However, it is possible to scan an image using MAGIX Xtreme Photo Designer, which is included on the Xara Xtreme 3.2 and Xtreme 3.2 Pro CDs.

To scan within MAGIX Xtreme Photo Designer go to:

File --> TWAIN --> Acquire

This should launch your scanning software and load the scanned image into Photo Designer.

To set MAGIX Xtreme Photo Designer 7 to edit bitmaps from within Xara Xtreme, go to:

Utilities --> Options --> Effects and Plugins

Under 'Editing Bitmaps' select the 'Use MAGIX Xtreme Photo' option.
