i. Are you sure you have the right email address/user name and password? If you have multiple Xara accounts you must enter the email address/user name and password that belongs to the account you used to purchase the older version. You can check the products you have purchased from a particular account by signing in to the account here and selecting the ‘My Products’ link.
If you are in doubt about your password then you can request a password reminder hint by clicking on the 'I've forgotten my password' link on the same page.
ii. Did you purchase a MAGIX branded version of our software from a Magix site or store? We can do the upgrades but it will not work automatically in our online store, you will need to register your old copy with Xara first. Visit the Service Center here and select the option 'I don't have any login data' and fill out that form, without entering a product. Then go to our contact page and email Sales, including the serial number of the copy you wish to upgrade, and wait for further instructions.
iii. Did you purchase from Xara offline by phone, fax or post, or from a Xara reseller? If so, you need to register your copy with Xara before upgrading. You should see a Register Now pop-up when you start the software or a Register option in the Help Menu. If you see neither (which would be true for some of our oldest versions) then you should contact our Sales team from the form on our contact page.
