In the event of a corruption occurring during download, you will receive errors such as below when attempting to install the downloaded file.
'The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again.'
A corruption can occur for various reasons beyond the control of the server from which the file is being retrieved.
Downloads are stored by a browser within its
cache. If one download is corrupted it's likely that subsequent
download attempts can also fail. There are several things to try when
problems like this occur.
1. Deleting the browser cache can assist in resolving the problem.
2. Delete the file from the location it was downloaded to which is
likely to be your temp files folder unless another location is specified
within your browser settings.
3. Try an alternative browser to see if the same problem occurs.
