I am experiencing problems with the Xara movies.
Solution

If you are having problems viewing the movies or hearing sound when viewing the movies then it's possible the video codec/ audio codec used to decode the video is not installed on your PC.

You can download a codec detection utility to verify which codec is being used in a particular movie and whether it is installed on your PC such as gspot

The program will list the 4CC video codec being used by a particular movie, report its name and whether it is installed.

It will also report the audio code being used and whether a compatible code is available on your PC.

The Video codec used in the majority of our movies is the TechSmith Screen Capture Codec

The Audio format in the movies can be processed by the Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 codec as well as the MPEG layer-3 Decoder. Information on installing the Fraunhofer codec can be viewed here
